The half-day informational session at ´ºÉ«µ¼º½’s’ Kroc Center, featuring four panels of 22 industry representatives, was organized to build better connections between educators and health care providers in the two-state area.

 

Health care has an out-sized impact on the ´ºÉ«µ¼º½-Aiken economy, which has four acute-care hospitals, a VA medical center, a military hospital and several specialty hospitals and assisted-living centers. Nursing is the metro area’s No. 3 occupation after restaurant and retail workers, according to federal Bureau of Labor Statistics data.

 

´ºÉ«µ¼º½ offers entry-level nursing programs.
